The gifts the mother and new born son are guarenteed to get are photo books, tooth and hair boxes, moeny boxes, and birth certificate holder. I am looking for something a slightly more different.

how about getting a star named after him. Many sites offer this at a reasonable price and you get a certificate with all the star details.. Hope this helps and good luck.

I can barely walk and it really hampers even looking after my baby and children. Do people with severe sciatica get classed as disabled in the UK and therefore qualify for DLA?

No you wont Hun sorry .. i also have severe sciatica and was refused but got help from the hospital for physio and pain relief you can also have the injections if pain is that bad so therefore this is why you wont get DLA

My 16 year old sister in law used her mom’s money on vacation and bought my baby a sippy cup that has glitter inside one of the layers and it’s all fancy. I don’t like it because it’s too heavy without any liquids in it and it has two handles. My daughter is used to the sippy cups with no handles. She bought it before my baby could use a sippy in hopes that I would start feeding her out of a sippy just because she bought it. Rather annoying. Is she likely to ask if we have it or use it? Can I donate it to someone else or toss it?

My MIL went on vacation and bought a hat for my daughter. It was size Infant, but my daughter’s head is like 5" too small for it. It’s very gaudy and ugly. It has Cinderella on it and hideous pink ruffles around it. I just don’t like it and it wouldn’t match with any of her pretty outfits once it does fit in a year or so.

So, what can I do with these things I don’t want my daughter using/ having/wearing? Every time I open the cabinet or her closet, I am reminded by the gifts staring me in the face. I just want to get rid of them already and she hasn’t even used them.

My son only wears some of his outfits when I will be seeing the particular person who gave it to him. Luckly he grows out of everything fast than I can get rid of it -I mean donate it. If you don’t use the cup get rid of it & if SIL asks say she must have lost it when you took her for a walk in the stroller. You can justify thinning out your daughter stuff because the holidays are just around the corner.

My friends are having a baby girl in August and they keep dropping subtle hints that they want me to be the childs Godmother. What would be a meaningful gift that I can give to the child that she can love and cherish forever?

If you sew you could make her a special baby blanket or even a small quilt… if you give her a quilt, as she grows you can give her new pieces to add to it, once you get a couple new rows then you could teach her how to quilt. A quilt though needs to have special fabrics….as she grows. A music box engraved especially for her…. with her birth information on it… I hope this helps…

My sis is having a baby in August, she had a baby shower and all.But she received a bunch of keepsake stuff: foot print maker, album, etc etc
What are some things(good products) tht I can get tht she and the baby can benefit from??
Thx

Well speaking from extreme experience, i have three children and i know she will definitely benefit from diapers, wipes, onsies, johnson products such as body wash, shampoo, lotion, etc. she can also use 4-5oz bottles to start off with because the baby will only drink small amounts of milk until they are 3mths. A bottle warmer, a bassinet, baby monitor, blankets, burping cloths, hats, booties, and socks, etc. There’s so much she will use once the baby is born but these are some essentials she will really appreciate having. congrats.
