Just wondering what products you (Mommies & Daddies) like to use…

I am using…
Formula: Enfamil Gentlease (and breastmilk)
Bottles:Playtex Drop-ins (Premium Nursers)
Wash: Baby Phisoderm Tear-free Cream Wash
Diapers: Pampers Swaddlers (Newborn)
Diaper Cream: Boudreaux Butt Paste
Wipes: Huggies (Natural Care)
Etc.
My daughters never had a diaper rash either. But when she was a week she had the redest bottom… and the butt paste really helped it.

I am using…
Formula: Nestlé Good Start
Bottles: Playtex Drop-Ins (Premium Nurses)
Wash: Baby Phisoderm Tear-Free Cream Wash
Diapers: Pampers Swadlers until recently, now we use Walmart’s Parents’ Choice
Diaper Cream: Boudreaux Butt Paste
Wipes: Huggies Natural Care

I am also using Hyland’s Teething Tablets for my 3 month-old!

Best answer, please?

Gracee’s Dad

P.S. We have a lot of products in common!

If you already had a shower for your first baby during your first marriage, then had another shower for your first baby in a new marriage, is it appropriate to have yet another baby shower for your second kid in the current marriage?
But where do you draw the line? If this person plans on having 6 more babies, I have to go to 6 more showers for this one person? Isn’t that a tad much?

My opinion on baby showers is that you have a nice big shower with the first baby. If the second baby is born several (6 or more) years later, then it would be okay to have a nice second shower. If the babies are born just a couple of years apart then a small office shower or a shower given by a club or class the mother belongs to would be okay, but a big shower is inappropriate because she should still have most of the things she needs (unless they were destroyed by a natural disaster of some sort, in which case a big shower would be very appropriate).

I really feel that parents should do their best to preserve and care for all their baby things from day one, so as not to have to depend on other people (showers) to help them provide for any other children they may have. This does not seem to be a popular opinion with the present generation of child bearing couples. They seem to think that each baby is special and deserves a shower. While each baby IS special, babies don’t know the difference as to whether they are wearing or using brand new clothes or bedding, so it is actually the parents that want their children to have ALL NEW…….another flaw in this throw away society we live in. I don’t have to participate, so I don’t in cases like this.

i want to make a baby blanket for someone :) im going to crochet it not knit. what brand would be best?

thanks!

You didn’t ask for a pattern nor mention the gauge of the pattern you’re considering.

If you need a bulky yarn, I’d recommend Lion Brand Homespun. My 2-year-old grandchild has slept with a blanket made of Homespun every night of his life, and it has been washed at least a hundred times, maybe two hundred times. It washes well, it dries in the dryer, and it’s soft. Granted, it’s starting to pill, but that doesn’t matter to the grandchild!

If you want a worsted weight yarn, Vanna’s Choice (also by Lion Brand) is a good choice. TLC Amore by Coats & Clark is a worsted weight chenille yarn that does well for baby things. And Patons and Bernat both make machine washable and dryable worsted weight yarns that will hold up for years of use with a baby. I especially like Bernat Satin.

For a sport weight yarn, I like Lion Brand Babysoft or Patons Astra.

All of the above are acrylic yarns, so they machine wash and machine dry or hang to dry. They are all soft enough for use with a baby, and they are all tough enough to survive life with a baby.

Ok so I posted a couple of times after a German lady bought some baby clothes from me on ebay and I wanted to converse with her in her native tongue. I’ve decided to sell some more baby clothes and want to offer them on the German ebay instead on the english one. It seems that our english baby clothes go down a treat over there. SOOOO.. big ask here… Can any NATIVE Germans translate this for me :-)

Here we have a beautiful selection of Girls clothes for 3-6 months straight from England. (62/68cm) that would make any new mummy and daddy proud. Your little princess will look very trendy in this lot.

Most are used but still in exceptional condition. I would not sell anything that I would not put on my own child.

All are good makes with many of them NEXT. I have photographed everything, please see the pictures below.

FREE 2-5 DAY SHIPPING. Feel free to make me an offer :-)

Thank you soo sooo much in advance, you’ll be helping me out big style!!
Oops forgot to add the line:

Only "proper" clothes, NO Sleepsuits/Vests just to fill up the bundle.

Ok, here’s handmade text again:

KOSTENLOSER VERSAND in 2-5 Tagen. Machen Sie ein Angebot :-)

the additional line would be:
Nur "richtige" Anziehsachen, keine Schlafanzüge bzw. Unterhemden, nur um das Angebot aufzufüllen.

I’m not particularly familiar with baby clothes. Is NEXT a brand (then the translation would be ok)? Are you sure that you want to offer free shipping (i. e. shipping at no cost to the buyer)? Is "sleepsuit" a pajama (then it’s "Schlafanzug") or rather a "romper" (then it would be "Strampler")? Is "vest" an undershirt (then it’s "Unterhemd") or a waistcoat (= "Weste")?

HTH, good luck

My fiance (Palestinian) and I (American) are discussing baby names. I’d love to give our future children neat, unique Palestinian names, not just typical Arab names like Khalid, Mohammad, Zeina or Reem. Those are all beautiful names, but I’m looking for unique names that would also fit into an English-speaking society as well. Also, I’m really not looking for religiously-based names either.
Any suggestions?

i think Aqsa is a nice name for a girl. i know its a mosque, but i all feel that its one of the most recognized symbols of palestine.
u can also use city names like :
Haifa
Janine
those are both girl names and i think they are imporatnt because israel took both cities from us.

Zeytoona- is like olivia in english
(well actually it means olive, and those are an important part of palestinian agriculture)
ive also met people names Falastin both boys and girls
and Salam which means peacefor a girl
or Salem which mean peaceful for a boy

i also like the name Dhalia (dal-ya) which means grape vine, and i think thats what im going to name my daughter when i have one

I would recommend somewhere around ten to 20…really varies… because the baby may spit up and sweat… don’t keep the baby in the sun too long…plz i luv babies. so just make sure you wash them often and with dreft. Make sure that it is the right size. have you had a baby shower yet (good opportunity for gifts) Also make sure that the baby is comfortable in what they are wearing because before you know it, they will be pointing to what they want to wear (weather or not it fits them) Well, hope this helped. Good Luck!!!

Hi, I just had a baby 10 days ago and my body is already starting to get to somewhat the size I was before I got pregnant and I’d like to start buying some clothes for myself but don’t know what to get. I’ve been stuck wearing big t-shirts and maternity jeans or just sweat pants and I’d like to have some clothes that’s comfortable to wear when I go out w/ my baby, but that doesn’t look sloppy or boring. I’m tired of just wearing jeans and t-shirts. Can you all let me know of some websites that has cool comfortable clothes for a new mom who’s in her 20s? Where do you buy your clothes?

As a young mom of a 4-year-old girl, I buy most of my stuff at Old Navy and Ann Taylor Loft — depending on how "dressy" or "casual" I want to be/look/feel! :)

Dear Ms. Israniro,

In India you can buy online, by visiting www.indiatimes.com. This is very popular and reputed site. You can make online payments with out any hesitation. Their service is excellent.

Similarly www.indiavartha.com.

I am a regular buyer from these two online stores past many years. So far I have not come across any problems. I have also tried several others, where I have not satisfied with the service and quality.

Good luck.
