I still fit in kids sizes, and all my friends are like, you wear baby clothes! and im not allowed to shop in their teen store, like hollister. i do shop in a few, like gg (max rave [rave girl]) that my friends say are weird teen clothes. i also like target, which my friends dont like either. i dont really care about them anymore. the problem is that i either dress like a baby or an old person! justice = baby store ( its for girls of ALL ages basically, but a lot of little kids shop there) and target= old lady store. i figured that out my self. me and my friends went shopping. since they went where they wanted to go, they had to come with me. not justice, but target. i bought 2 tie dye shirts. my friends bought 3 each. (they are rich)… and these were really nice clothes in the juniors section. i even came on here(yahoo answers) and asked teen girls if they liked my shirts. they said yes. but i went on a walk with my sister, and i saw 2 40 year old mothers wearing my shirts!

i dont care if my friends are unhappy with my clothing, but now i am too!! I DONT WANNA DRESS LIKE A BABY OR OLD LADY! where should i shop/. what shoould i do?

haha! dudeee i <3 Target!!!!!!!! If you shop in the juniors section you can find some really cute stuff :) hmm… maybe you can try marshalls (they have discount designer stuff so u can impress ur friends!), pacsun, old navy, forever 21, H&M, ross, aeropostale, abercrombie kids, etc! Also about the tie dye shirts… As long as you like it, it doesn’t matter!!!! Adults are teenage fashion wannabees so ur most likely gonna see them wearing stuff you have- not matter where you shop! hahah my MOM has a shirt that I have. Don’t worry! also, maybe pick up a fashion magazine like teen vogue, or seventeen just to get some inspiration on whats in style right now.

A good thing to do if you want good fashion is to start off with the basics. Get a pair of denim shorts, white shorts and jeans. Buy a few plain tops in different colors. Then shop for accessories so you can take the plain outfit and make it amazing! Buy necklaces, hats, bracelets, belts, hats, etc! Thats how i dress myself! I start out basic, and add sweaters and accessories to make it more stylish!

Also, some trends right now are studs, ruffles, floral patterns, stripes, button up shirts, tshirts tucked into skirts, summery dresses, bold accesories, and bright patterns.!

I hope this helped :)

I was going to make a diaper cake for my friends baby shower since my sister made me one and I loved it! But I guess my idea was too good because a ‘friend’ of mine instantly took the idea as her own. But I’d rather not be petty about it…time to think of a new idea haha. I liked it because it was cheap since I don’t have a lot of money.

I have a baby bath that my son used and I was going to make a gift basket using the bath instead of a traditional basket. I also have a car seat toy that he barely used to put in there and some unopened lotions and bath stuff. What other cheap things could I include? Does this sound like a good idea?

What was your favourite shower gift? Thanks :) I know about the pampers, i’ve even told her about that :-)

Luvs are not available in Canada and are also made by the same company as Pampers :(
I would still use the bath tub and just fill it with lots of diapers and wipes.

Or…. You could always go to accouple of garage sales and buy her some second hand toys for when the baby gets a little older. All that stuff cleans up nicely with a little soap and water.

I’m sure she would appreciate anything you give her!

My 1.5 year old baby just swallows all soft food without biting into it. However if given snacks like waffers, chapati, etc she nicely bites and eats it. How do i get her to chew rice, dal, veges etc? Does swallowing food hamper weight gain?

it’s easier. continue to serve her the same healthy meals you give the rest of the family & make sure she uses a fork and spoon. she’s still learning, so keep an eye on her & get your CPR certification if it will make you feel safer. if weight gain is an issue -talk to the pediatrician & a occupational therapist.

I’m 22 weeks pregnant with twins
my and my bf (cayo) family from africa and south and central america keep sending clothes now we have a huge surplus (especially booties we got about 90 somthing now ) and we were thinking about giving the extras to charity (it really hard cuz they are all so cute!!!) but…..

is that impolite

There are times when it’s not right to give away gifts given to you, but in your case.. I don’t think your twins will need 90 booties. Besides, they always manage to kick them off the moment you turn around.

My daughter is 8 months old, and is growing out of them pretty fast. I never really understood the point of them anyway, but when should she stop wearing them?

I loved onesies. but if you don’t see the need in them then for heavens sake toss them all away to the Goodwill. Who cares? And who told you that your baby had to wear anything? She is your kid…YOU dress her as you wish.

Hi everyone,

I was hoping for a little help. Does anyone have any good links for childrens online clothing stores. I am looking for some stores that stock either really girly clothes for my little girl, or some high end baby designer things (things like Dior, Burberry etc) for baby shower presents.

I’d really appreciate any online links you can give me.

Thanks

I got one of those little sewing machines that does embroidery by a computer program from my mother, and I have lots of fun monogramming stuff. Most of my son’s clothes have been monogrammed, the little pockets on his dress shirts, he fronts of his jon-jons and overalls, the hoods of his coat, etc. I think its cute, and will make a good keepsake for him, but my SIL tells me that it’s such a snobby thing to do and to not act rich when I’m not. Which is pretty rude to say about a baby outfit.

Is it snobby to monogram things? Not all of his things are, just some of them. All our wash clothes, table clothes and pillow cases are too, from me learning to use the machine.
katerina: That’s what I thought.

i think its pretty cute, especially when they’re young. and on the plus side when he goes to school at least he can’t get his coats mixed up with his friends or anything. besides i have to say if i got a new sewing machine that does embroidery then i’d be using it on everything, i mean how can you not play with it. don’t mind her.

Her little boy is 5 and is having another boy. She said her mom dosent think she should have one and shes really upset but its trying to get over it. I feel so bad. do you think it would be nice for me to make her a new mothers basket. (laundry basket, with pampers, wipes, passys, a few clothes, hangers and bath stuff ) Its a signature gift I love to give and wrap it in special ribbon and monogram. Also should i give it to her when the baby is born or we are planning on having lunch soon. I could give it to her then.

A lot of people doesn’t believe a mother should have a baby shower after the first baby.
I sure hope someone would throw me one, as I didn’t keep most of the stuff (I had to move). You could just throw her a baby shower. Or make her the basket and give at any time. Ideally before baby. It will sure lift her spirits.

Im giving a friend a baby shower. she has 3 other kids already ages 6 ,3 and 18 mons, her hubby is deployed to Iraq and he wont be here when the baby comes, so a friend and I are going to give her a shower to help make things easier. I also wanted to give little gifts to the other kids so they don’t feel left out.

what would be some good gift ideas to give to the older kids? all are girls and she is having another girl

toys are something good and they’re multi-functional…
buy them toys that their mom won’t or can’t afford to buy them. something that you can use to keep them occupied with during the shower, maybe something that they could all play with together…think dolls or duplo legos (those are the big ones) or my person favorite play food & dishes
