I have been trying really hard to get them out within a week so I don’t get behind. How long does it take you to get them out?
Within a month is acceptable. People do mind if one is not received. If people have taken the time to purchase a gift, you should take the time to personally thank them.
How long did it take you to get your thank you cards out after baby gifts?

October 27th, 2009 at 12:11 pmCongrats on your little boy, got one myself. I got my cards out in a week. But I had a small baby shower, and hand delievered most of them. But two week is okay too. You don’t have to rush. As long as people get them before the baby is born! Good Luck with your little boy!

October 27th, 2009 at 12:32 pmI know what always helped my mom with the four of us was at the baby shower, give everyone a envelope to put their address on so you don’t have to do it, and to just write a short thank you. Not a very long one. If you’ve already had the shower, you can just write roughly the same thing, kinda like a fill in the blanks, for each one. The gift givers will understand with a new baby. (:

October 27th, 2009 at 1:10 pmFor my first shower I had them all done and sent off only a few days after the event. For my second it took a little bit longer and I ended up not sending them off until about a week and a half afterwards. I think it’s perfectly acceptable for it to take a few weeks to a month, people will understand that you’re busy and had a lot of them to write!
