gift cards to the parents and don’t want to do that now.
I am dying for a teething necklace so my baby can have something to chew on while I am holding her that will not fall on the floor every time she lets go of it. I know it sounds like a mom gift, but it would benefit both and would be a sweet bonding gift. I am attaching two links: one is for one that is about $20 and the other is $150 and up. If your situation/relationship is one that makes the more expensive one appropriate, you could look at it as a sweet heirloom that could be given to baby for his own baby one day.

Try stuffed animals really soft, fuzzy ones kids always love those. you could also go with clothes, homemade pillows and blankets are always nice to and are usually kept for years to come.

My daughter is 5 months old and I bought her a push-walker for Christmas. She won’t be using it anytime soon but I found it on sale after Thanksgiving and she will need it eventually.

Most all baby toys have age ranges on them now for ease of selecting. I would recomend anything Fisher-price or Vtech. Most stores have them arranged by brand and age range. But here are some web sites you can check them out on first before you go to the store.

I always love when my children get toys or books as gifts. At that age children start to notice toys that make music or light up and they also get more excited about books. Just look at the age recommendation on the book or toy packaging to see what would be appropriate.

Diapers and wipes. Although it seems like not really a gift, it helps saves a lot of money.
Cute clothes are always nice. They grow in and out of clothes quickly so maybe a few 9 months - 12 months clothes will do. Don’t forget to consider what the weather might be when the baby is 9-12 months so you won’t buy cute winter clothes when it will be summer by the time he will be able to fit into them. ( My mom always does this mistake! )
It also depends on how the parents are. If they read and interact a lot with their baby, buy some books. Generally males develop their speech a little later than females so it’s very helpful to read to them a lot more.
The only thing I DON’T reccommend are toys that make soooo much noise. It gets annoying after awhile.
