Everytime I do the laundry the baby’s bibs end up sticking to each other, or anything else in the wash and the velcro is ruining the fabric. Anyone else come across this? and how do I stop it!
I’ve been washing them with the ends together, and I have tried just washing them on there own. They still come apart and then ruin the fabrics.
There are net bags you can put delicates into (like silk undies) so maybe one of them could work. Washing them with towels or blankets, rather than clothing, is also a good idea. Or denim! Voila is the word.
How to wash a baby bib with out the velcro sticking to everything?

Yes I had the same problem. I washed them with the towels because they could withstand being roughed up by the velcro.

All I had to do was put the ends together and it stopped. But if it keeps happening you can wash the bids only, together and do the baby clothes separate.

you are supposed to wash them with the ends stuck together. It saves the sticky ends from eventually being ruined and it also saves your other laundry.

Stick the ends together and then place them in a seperate laundry bag that zips (can buy them in the laundry section at Target/Walmart). Place it in the washer with your towels and "whala."

Get a laundry bag (what you’d wash your bra in) from the store and put the bibs in there. Before you put them in the bag, velcro the ends together so they don’t attach to other things.

Fasten the bib shut in the wash. Works for us.

Try hand washing them if the machine doesn’t seem to work with it.

If the ends wont stay shut, try using little bulldog clips to hold them. A bit more time consuming, but should save the rest of your washing.

I used a mesh laundry bag to wash velcro bibs in…and also began buying bibs with snaps or ties versus velcro closures.
Even better are the ones that have a t-shirt-like neck; my son was more comfortable in these, and he couldn’t pull them off when he got older.

Try sticking the velcro ends together and then pin them with a large safety pin. Should help…Good luck!

Get a lingerie bag (you can get them at dollar stores, or even make your own) and wash all the bibs in there. Get a second one for socks and you won’t loose them either. To make life easier attach the lingerie bags to the side of the hamper using clothes pins or whatever works.
