When should I stop putting my baby in onesies?

My daughter is 8 months old, and is growing out of them pretty fast. I never really understood the point of them anyway, but when should she stop wearing them?

I loved onesies. but if you don’t see the need in them then for heavens sake toss them all away to the Goodwill. Who cares? And who told you that your baby had to wear anything? She is your kid…YOU dress her as you wish.

Onesies come in sizes up to 24m so it really is up to you.

My son is 8 months old and we don’t do onesie’s anymore. They’re just annoying in my opinion. We just do T-Shirts and shorts here!

These are a great invention. Really keeps that undershirt where it belongs since that is actually what it is. As long as you would use an undershit use a onsie. Trust me, these are better then those crazy snap side undershirts we used 40 years ago!

The point of onesies is to make it easy to change diapers. My daughter is 19 months and she stills wears them, but not all the time. You can stop using them whenever you want to. I like them because it keeps them covered. Regular shirts "ride up" when you’re holding them, and I hate that.

Moms like onesies for a lot of different reasons. However, if your baby is outgrowing them, a regular t-shirt and a good fitting diaper do just as well. Start going to Goodwill and other thrift stores. You can pick up all kinds of baby clothes, some for a ridiculously low price like 50 cents an item. I’ve especially seen a lot of t-shirts there.
