I usually wait until about 7 1/2 months b/c I’m always afraid that if I do it any earlier that I’m getting too excited…..
My husband and I had the nursery completely set up before we were even pregnant. Walls painted and all. I asked for the crib and changing table for my birthday. And the end tables and amour for Christmas. Saved a lot all around. I personally don’t think it’s ever too early. Why be scared of something you can’t control. Stress causes miscarriages anyways. So just spend your pregnancy as if your baby is already here is my mato.
How soon did you start shopping for baby when you were pregnant?

I could never stop myself, just a couple of little things early on like booties or socks and once i was past 12 weeks i got a few outfits in,once i had the 20 week scan that was it i was buying everything!
I couldn’t help it,i know some think it is bad luck but it will never change the outcome anyway so once i was over the scan i shopped all i wanted.

I’ve been good so far, I’m in my 7th month and have only bought a few little things and a few good yard-sale buys! But it also depends if you are having a baby shower…I wanted to wait until after my shower so that I could see what others are buying. I’ve got one more shower in a few weeks, after that I will go buy whatever else I need. Good luck!

as soon as i found out we bought a pack of sleepers and socks i think then after 12 weeks we bought some yellows and greens then at 20 weeks we found out we was having a boy and by 24 weeks we had everything we needed for him..lol we was so excited we just couldnt wait…if you buy..buy the bigger stuff you know noone is going to get you because if you have a shower..they will get you all the little stuff like bottles wipes lotions…(actually noone got me bottles at mine)..but I got alot of bath stuff like wash cloths and towels..but on them I had bought alot of them also because you can never get to many hooded towels or wash cloths and socks I bought alot of socks because they are so tiny more than likely they will be lost easy

Right away! But maybe I’m just to excited about it. I don’t see anything wrong with window shopping early on anyway. ; ) Best Wishes!

Well I am doing pretty well with not buying, I am in my 8th month and the only things we have bought ourselves are the furniture pieces. This is my first and I am having 3 showers so I want to wait until they are all over and see what is left that I still need before I go on a shopping spree. My last shower is this Sunday and after that I think I will have myself a nice time by letting loose in the baby stores and baby sections buying those things that I need a few that I just can’t resist
