Should I start shopping for my baby?

Im 16 weeks now i’ll be 17 thursday. I want to do a little shopping for the baby, I dont know what it is yet. But I thought about buying some socks, white all in one’s, blankets, passifiers, and whatever else I see, Do you think I should start now?

Gosh I started buying baby stuff the day I found out I was pregnant HAHA.. Honestly there’s alot to buy and it’s very responsible that you are getting an earlie start just do gender neutral until you find out it’s hard to resist all those cute little clothes but it wont be long till you have your next ultrasound to find out what your baby is.. Go ahead girl and shop your heart out trust me once you hit that 3rd trimester you’ll barely have the energy to fold the laundry HAHA.. CONGRATS

Go ahead! I would! I had TONS of things for my son around the time I was 13 weeks (he is now two and a half months old). It’s fun! The sooner you start, the more you can stretch out the expense among the weeks. I’d just save a few things that you would want to buy gender-specific.

    Congratulations and have fun shopping!

Too early to buy a bunch of things. But do buy a couple of little things every month. You want to focus most of your shopping towards the end of your pregnancy so that you are covered under warranties, return policies and needs vs. wants. You also want to hold off on baby clothing because of season changes.

However, I will tell you to consider baby furniture fairly early. I overheard a clerk saying that it takes 12-14 weeks to get baby furniture from the time you order it until it is delivered (babiesrus). I’m not sure that is true elsewhere (JC Penney), but if you do have something particular in mind, you probably need to start pricing and saving for it.

I waited until my foetus was viable at 25 weeks. We didn’t find out the sex, so bought everything in neutral colours. You’ll get given plenty of blue/pink things when baby is born!

of course! could always get the big items out of the way, Crib, Dresser, Changing table, and start stocking up on diapers!! start making a things not to forget list.. but start buying whenever you are ready too!! Starting now will cause less stress later.. i still have till Feb, and im completely done, minus the diaper bag, and have nothing else to worry about so im enjoying my pregnancy, and waiting on my beautiful blessing to make her appearance =] Good luck and congrats!
