I’m putting together a basket full of things like bottles, diapers, wipes etc for an expectant friend and want to know what everyone’s favorite gift that they recieved. (I also plan on doing a camera and some store gift cards for formula or whatever others forgot.)
I think the most thoughtful gift I received for my shower was a silver spoon and fork set along with a Baptism outfit.
My gramma got us a really nice keepsake baby knitted blanket.
Other than that diapers and wipes were the most useful.
What is the best gift you recieved at your baby shower?

I didn’t get this gift (but boy do I wish I had), but I give it in all the baskets I do for baby shower. Its a "coupon book" for the parents. Things like free babysitting on a night of their choice, dinner delivered free and for washing/drying/folding 5 baskets of laundry. I just make it out of construction paper and markers.
The mothers always love it and I enjoy being able to help them out as much as possible once the baby is born. They’ll get tons of outfits, blankets, diapers and finger nail clippers, but none of those are as helpful as someone offering to physically help out with common things while the new parents adjust to their new lives. Like doing the dishes or mowing the lawn so that the parents can catch up on sleep or spend some quality time together.

I love the idea the "Just call me G" just posted. I received many wonderful items at my shower but boy could I have used that coupon book she makes! That would be a truly thoughtful gift to give a new mom.

Diapers! You can never get enough! But the best gift I received were some Roxy clothes for my daughter. After 3 kids you realize your babys grow out of their clothes so fast you dont really want to waste your money on fashion clothing. But I thought it was so cute to have some little Roxy clothes for my daughter. Best gifts ever!

Gift cards for restaurants are the best. New parents are to tired to cook and if she has a c-section then she won’t feel like it. If her husband doesn’t cook then they are living on snadwhichs and frozen pizza. My friend gave me some when i had my son and it was the best gift ever!!!

I also love the idea "Just call me G" said. I think the things you have already thought up of are great presents. Also maybe a baby book where she can record her babies firsts (first smile etc.). Some more ideas:
- a nice dinner set
- a nice teddy bear (I’m not talking about just a little cheap one, and really good quality one lol)
- a nice outfit
- a book
- a nice figurine (maybe a teddy bear, or if its a girl a ballerina or something?)
