What was your favourite shower gift?

I was going to make a diaper cake for my friends baby shower since my sister made me one and I loved it! But I guess my idea was too good because a ‘friend’ of mine instantly took the idea as her own. But I’d rather not be petty about it…time to think of a new idea haha. I liked it because it was cheap since I don’t have a lot of money.

I have a baby bath that my son used and I was going to make a gift basket using the bath instead of a traditional basket. I also have a car seat toy that he barely used to put in there and some unopened lotions and bath stuff. What other cheap things could I include? Does this sound like a good idea?

What was your favourite shower gift? Thanks :) I know about the pampers, i’ve even told her about that :-)

Luvs are not available in Canada and are also made by the same company as Pampers :(
I would still use the bath tub and just fill it with lots of diapers and wipes.

Or…. You could always go to accouple of garage sales and buy her some second hand toys for when the baby gets a little older. All that stuff cleans up nicely with a little soap and water.

I’m sure she would appreciate anything you give her!

I got little swim trunks, a rash guard shirt, and some sun screen as a gift and that was majorly cute. when is she due? get her the size that the baby will be next summer. you could throw in some sunglasses and a hat too. baby swimsuit stuff is pretty cheap. the bath thing sounds good but I’d be worried about someone else doing the same thing. the best thing anyone can do ever is to bring meals after the baby is born. you could write her a card and make her coupons or a ‘gift card’ for a few meals. that’d be inexpensive and very thoughtful.

This was my favorite gift I got at my shower. I have saved this website so that any future showers I go to, this is what they are getting. I use this mirror every time I get in the car with my baby. It is so nice being able to see everything she does and to not have to worry while she is rear facing. This is the cheapest website I have found for it so far.

You could buy washclothes, a baby brush, bath toys, diapers, wipes. I think your idea sounds wonderful. I also loved my diaper cake. I cried when taking it apart. Too bad your friend stole the idea.

That sucks she stole your idea!! That was a way cute idea!!
My favorites were handmade stuff. My mom made my son 2 blankets, burp cloths, and a really cute comforter that he’ll use when he gets older.
My sister in law gave me what you are planning on doing. Way cute idea too!! Put some lotion, soap, wash cloths, maybe a hooded bath towel or a little robe. You could do a little pack of diapers and wipes too. Practile gifts are the best!! I didn’t have to buy diapers for 6 weeks!! Now that is a great gift : ) luvs is a great brand of diaper and they are cheap!! They are the only diapers I ever buy!! P. S. Don’t get Pampers with Dry Max. It’s been giving babies severe rashes and chemical burns. Just wanted you to be aware so her new little baby won’t get one!! Good luck!!

My favorite gift was my video monitor. i love that thing. I got two of those baby tubs filled w/stuff. I also got 2 diaper cakes. ‘

A diaper cake is always nice and trust me she’ll use those diapers up before she knows it. Two wouldn’t be a bad thing.

I like your idea. You could include a rubber ducky, wash clothes, a bath towel (i like the kid towels b/c they are bigger and last longer than the baby towels) a cup for washing baby.
