I’m looking for ideas of baby shower gifts for my sister.
What were some of the best things you received at a baby shower that you were very happy to get?
My favorite gifts were the gift baskets. They came with so many useful things and I received a few different types of them. Such as, a bath time one, a sweet dreams gift basket, and a baby care basket. A bonus about the baskets is that you can reuse them to store things.

Anything personalized. I went to orientaltradingcompany.com and got a super cute stuffed animal blanky that I had my nephews name sewn on. They personalize it for free. Check it out! My sister loved it.

I was overjoyed about everything we got. Babies are a big expense and anything that was given to us was a blessing. I would say anything you know they will need on a regular basis would be good.

It depends on your budget, I have a baby sling, "peanut shell" and I love it. They can be expensive though. At my bay shower I recieved a bath kit. It was a craft carrier thing, but it had all the baby baths and shampoo you’d need, plus baby rags. It was great!

Any basic necessesity…diapers, wipes, bottles, you know things i will definately use.
I will tell you contrary to what most people say, I never used a diaper genie…total waste of money.
Some of my favorite gifts I recieved were Books, Sophie the Giraffe (look it up, kids love it), memory hand clay things, toy box.
Above all….I consider my most long lasting toy "Sophie" to be the thing my son adores and still does the most. Kind of pricey…but worth it. I thought at the time I got it…"ummmm ok" but soon found it to be a asset.
