Sweet Baby Gifts

My neighbours, who are very lovely people have had a baby 10 months ago, and i still havent been over to congratulate them. i feel extremely guilty and one time they caught me on the street and were still very lovely to me and i had a play with the baby boy. i also appologised for not dropping by.

now i am thinking of putting together a wine basket (i know that they like wine but i dont know what kind, so im going to go for red), and im going to make sure that its a good quality and expensive one.

but what else do i put in there. i know you’re going to say cheese (but what kind and where do i get good quality cheese from in Australia?) im also thinking of a cook book, some dried nuts.. but what else.

and because they had a baby boy, do i also get the baby a gift?

Okay so im getting my best friend a moses basket for her little boy. but im going to put stuff in it for the baby. i know im going to get him a baby jordan outfit & that’s what he is going to come home in but i don’t know what else to put in there. any ideas?

a pack of diapers. you dont even know how handy and helpful its going to be for her to have as many diapers as she can get. this means no running to the store because she ran out early, less money she has to spend on diapers a huge help.
heres a few other ideas
*pack of diaper wipes
*bottle warmer for in the car
*bottles brushes to clean bottles
*first aid kit (if she doesn’t already have one)
*changing pad to keep in diaper bag if her diaper bag didn’t come with one
*diaper bag if she doesnt have one of those packed with the things a mom would put in the diaper bag
*formula divider. (its a circular bowl pretty much which lets her put 4 proportions of formula in it without having to take the whole can of formula when she goes somewhere… i found this really helpful)
*certificates to small restaurants since she might not be feeling all that up for cooking
*boppy pillow replacement cover if shes using one an extra would be nice to keep on hand in case baby spits up on it
*baby tylenol or other medications a small baby might need.
*lotions, soaps, powders, diaper rash creme… stuff like that
*baby gift card to wal mart or somewhere in case there is something last minute she needs that no one thought of…
just a few ideas… hopefully you find some use out of the list…

I just found out one of my close friends is expecting and I want to make her a gift basket. Since it’s going to be a while before we find out if she’s having a girl or boy I thought I could have the gifts be more for her pregnancy instead of the baby. Here are some of the things I thought I could out in the basket: A card, balloon, small spa set, a parenting magazine, a "What to Expect When You’re Expecting" book and a pregnancy journal. What are some other things I should include for her in the basket? I’m on a tight budget, but any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

For the new mother something to indulge herself with and relax! Scented bath oils, candles, chamomile tea. For the baby create a gift basket with receiving blankets, baby outfits, diaper cream, baby bath items, baby rattles, lullaby CD.

Her little boy is 5 and is having another boy. She said her mom dosent think she should have one and shes really upset but its trying to get over it. I feel so bad. do you think it would be nice for me to make her a new mothers basket. (laundry basket, with pampers, wipes, passys, a few clothes, hangers and bath stuff ) Its a signature gift I love to give and wrap it in special ribbon and monogram. Also should i give it to her when the baby is born or we are planning on having lunch soon. I could give it to her then.

A lot of people doesn’t believe a mother should have a baby shower after the first baby.
I sure hope someone would throw me one, as I didn’t keep most of the stuff (I had to move). You could just throw her a baby shower. Or make her the basket and give at any time. Ideally before baby. It will sure lift her spirits.

ive done my research! the products i want to buy are really cheap at trade/wholesale price and in bulk so i didnt want to know if it would work or not- wanted to know if people would buy these from markets or not? that is my question lol
i didnt want them to be very expensive or noone will buy them and im just wasting my time and money… also they vary in sizes and will just start off with 2 and see how they go.
