Sooo my best friend.. child hood friend:) is having a baby boy! I am planning her baby shower.. well the games and stuff. I’m going to get her a cute baby blue waste basket and fill it with stuff… but what about for games?? We r going to do the toilet paper game. I’m not sure what else… fill the bottle w candy and who ever guesses the right amount.. so I need more ideas! And what r good gift ideas… for the winners. Candles.. what else ha. Thanks so much! Xxx

Melt different candy bars in diapers and have the guests smell them and try to guess the candy bar.

Put a bunch (like 15-30) of different baby items (booger sucker, comb, themomater, etc.) on a tray, let the guests look at the tray for a minute, then take it away, and the guests have to write down as many items as they can remember.

Have everyone bring a baby pic of themselves, or email them to you ahead of time, and put them together and make the guests try to guess who is who.

Make everyone taste baby food and guess the flavors.

If it’s a ladies only shower, give everyone a clothes pin when they arrive, they must wear it on their clothes. If a guest catches another guest with their legs crossed, they can take that person’s clothes pin. Whoever has the most clothes pins at the end of the shower wins.

Have a bottle-drinking race.

Oh and the gift ideas for winners: candles, photo albums, photo boxes, look around at the dollar store and you can probably put together cute grab bags.

Would you buy gift baskets for babies from markets?
good quality gift hampers/baskets for babies from the markets if price range was $15-$25 and range from 4-12 gifts in each hamper/basket.

sets would be made up of anything from
1- baby products like bathing products,creams, powders etc
2- bottles, rattles, dummies,bibs,towels etc
3- outfits: 1 peice suit, hat/bonnet/beanie, socks etc
4- random mixtures including books, flashcards, feeding sets tc
plus lots more
would be clearly packaged so can see whats inside. mix of girls boys and unisex packs

i would make them myself, im a stay at home mum of 1 so have lots of time on my hands thouht this was a great way of making extra cash

As a gift, yes. For myself, maybe. I’m very picky as to what I use on my baby. I like to use all natural products so the cleaning/bath products might turn me off. I’ve also found when buying for myself I get more value if I buy certain items in bulk packages rather than one cute item of everything in a gift basket. But as a gift, of course I would.

Another thing to consider is gift baskets geared towards breastfeeding and bottle feeding moms. A breastfeeding one might have some nursing pads and milk storage bags versus another with bottles and nipples and such.

So my teacher is having a baby in May. I REALLY want to get her a gift, she’s one of my favorite teachers. She isn’t finding out if it is a girl or a boy though. I love shopping for baby clothes, but I’m sure she’ll get enough of that I have a really small budget, like $15 all together. And I don’t just want to get one thing. I was thinking of going to the Dollar Tree & getting a basket of like blankets, some little books, some pacifiers, bottle brushes, a little bath toy, & a few other little things. Do you think this would be OK or should I not go to the dollar store? Is that TOO cheap? I don’t want to look like the cheap student who doesn’t have $$ (even though that is what I am) LOL I just want to get her a good gift. Any recommendations? Should I maybe just get an outfit or 2 on clearance at walmart or target?

Since you’ll need your gift in a few months only you have enough time to bargain hunt for items at reduced prices. You could also get a baby outfit during the winter sale. Take one for 9 or 6-12 months and it’ll be perfect for next year’s winter. On the other hand, you seem to like your teacher a lot, so something you made yourself like the diaper cake or basket would be more personal.

Clannad and Toradora are romantic comedies with love triangles, but a little heavier on the drama than most of the series that you list.

Maybe Hana-kimi (Hanazakari no Kimitachi e). Its art style reminds me of Ouran/Skip Beat, and it’s a shojo romantic comedy. (I don’t think it’s blatanty reverse-harem though.)

My co-worker is having her second baby in a few weeks. I started to build a basket to give to her. The rest of our department is guys and not very close to her. Since I’m the only other person she talks to at work, I felt I should get her something for her second baby. I picked up a few outfits and had a bib made from a local t-shirt maker.

She is very anal and specific about what she likes. Super germaphobe. She is super organized and already had many of the items for this baby (a girl. her first was a boy). Every time I would get ready to go buy some things, she would be like, "last night I picked up all these things for the baby - diapers, binky clips, bibs, diaper genie replacements, etc).

I don’t know what else I can put in this basket that she doesn’t already have. Any ideas?

You can never have enough diaper and wipes, things like lotions, shampoos, Socks (they always loose them), you can go for a more progressed toy- like a 9-12 month old range. And Good books. Maybe some she remembers from her childhood. The best things i got where this:

But you could also just stick to the basics. things parents use on a baby that we always need. Or you could go with clothes in bigger sizes, people got me alot of clothe 0-3 months and after she grew out of that i had to go buy a hole new closet for her!

I am 20 years old, own my own house with my boyfriend we have been together for 4 years..we are expecting a baby boy in august. My friend is having a baby shower. She already has one child, a six year old girl and she’s having twins, a boy and a girl. She as a large family and she has already bought a lot of things herself, she has more than I do for my twins but she’s nearer her due date than I am. I thought about getting her a basket of pampering things, I have also got two gift cards to put in it, one for the spa for a mum to be pamper day with me (I have already paid for my own, the gift card is for her’s) and another for her favourite clothing store.
I know it sounds a lot, but I’ve known her a long time and we have been through a lot together. Is it ok to give her a gift just for her or should it be for the babies?

thats definately a great idea as most people wont think of the mother and will just buy for the babies so shed really appreciate some presents for herself too, i know i would if i was showered with so many gifts for the babies some may not even be needed so at leat you know your present will definately go to use.

Do a half and half basket, where you get a basket and fill half of it with baby toiletry items such as baby powder, desitin, baby soap, lotion, etc. Fill the other half with mommy toiletries such as bath beads, lotion, perfume, etc.
