when is the right time of shopping for ma baby? am 20weeks pregnant gone for ma first ultra sound but not got the sex yet

well, you might end up having a baby shower? So maybe just buy a few small things to start with?

I am going baby shopping and I have to take my daughter to a dance class. We go to a mother daughter dance class together. I haven’t got time to make a list we are going shopping strait after with my husband. Please can you put as many things you can think of. Thank you.

Fun fun question, if you had an x amount of money to spend on your baby because you are expecting what would you buy?
I meant, this is my only child. I am planning on breastfeeding.

Breast pump (Medela), nice glass bottles or BPA-free plastic bottles in different brands and styles in case the baby has preferences if I’m pumping, breast pads, breastmilk storage bags and containers… a couple of wraps and slings- never know what the baby will prefer- a Moby, a mei tai, and maybe a classic ring sling. Nursing bras and tanks, maybe some nursing tops. A sidecar co-sleeper (like Arm’s Reach.)

Then all the regular stuff, too- a good stroller, car seat, diapers, clothes, lots and lots of extra socks and onesies, blankets, etc.

Products are too good for babies

I am 24 weeks along and haven’t bought a thing for my unborn child because I’m so paranoid something might go wrong right after shopping. But I really wanna start buying things, because I believe later on I will be so weak to go shopping.. What do you think ladies?

Yes go ahead you are quite viable…..soon you;ll be on here asking about gas and gripe and poop and breastfeeding problems.

I’m 20 weeks and still haven’t got a thing for my baby. In my country baby shower happens two weeks after the baby is born. This means the mom to be actually has to buy important stuff for her baby. I feel like its too early for me to start shopping, or as soon as I start shopping something could go wrong. I’m being this paranoid due to my previous multiple miscarriages. Anyways do u think its ok for me to shop now, when did you do yours? Thanks

I started shopping after I knew the sex of the baby, you don’t want to wait until the last minute and scrambling to get everything you need. Whatever you buy just keep all the receipts and know the return policy in case something does happen to the baby. Just hope for the best and try not to worry. Good luck with everything

I am 19 weeks pregnant, I dont know if I should start shopping now or wait until we find the gender (which will be in two weeks) Honestly I am so bored, I am on bed rest, the only thing I do is watch movies or be on yahoo answers. Is it cool if i start shopping now? or what? gosh I am so bored

I know how it feels to be on bed rest it sucks hard! I think you should shop online meanwhile and if you MUST go to a store use a wheel chair.( dont risk the health of your or you baby)

I know I was SUPER EXCITED to shop for my baby before she was born, I ended up not using most of the stuff I bought, because we didnt like how it looked on her. I suggest MOSTLY buying white things for your baby(it will be in your favor since white looks beautiful with your dark skinned color) then when the finally arrives that you get o meet your baby you can take him/her to the store with you and choose what looks good on him/her, but meanwhile buy onsies with feetsies and a swaddle.
Only one or two packs of newborn diapers.
You should go choosing a formula if you choose to formula feed, breast is better but I coulndt do it, so I formula feed my baby Isomil Soy, its great for Preventing Colic…(thumbs up)

I prefer plastic light bottles since they are safer for the baby during those horendous night time feedings when you might drop the bottle on baby if you fall asleep by mistake ( happened to me, I know its horrible but hey Im human and humans fall asleep sometimes:)~shes fine by the way<because it was a plastic bottle she didnt even feel it, lol!

oh and as for the name of your baby, write a list of your fav boy and girls names and when baby is born, pick one that matches him or her BEST. I wish I had this advice before, Two weeks after my daughter was born We were kicking ourselves in the butt because the name we chose is beautiful, but did NOT match her! even though I think shes growing into it:)

My son is 4 months and is 16lbs. It wont be too long before he has outgrown his infant carrier. I know that I will have to start using the convertible car seat for the vehicle but what can I use when I take him grocery shopping. I mean he can’t sit up a lone in the cart and he has almost outgrown his carrier. What do you do in this situation? Thanks

I had all big children so I sympathize with you– they grow out of so much stuff before they are at an age when they don’t need those things anymore.

I would say get some kind of harness thing to "wear" him, get a babysitter, etc… he’s 4 months so he should be starting to sit up soon… even if wobbly you can put him into a cart and bring one of those padded cart seats or a blanket to help prop him and cover the front so he won’t hit his head if he falls forward.

We just found out we’re having a girl and we’re going shopping for a few things tomorrow, and I was wondering what you recommend buying? I’ve heard bibs, mittens, and some clothes but I don’t know what "some clothes" really refers to and what sizes I should get. Help?
If this is just for a few things I would buy just what catches your eye. but mittens are good or the gowns with the mittens built in are way better I didnt use onsies a whole lot it was either baby sleepers gowns or cute outfits to go out in but some onsies will be needed. Once i found out i was having a girl the first thing i bought was head bands and a cute little dress lol. You will need bibs and lots of socks never have to many socks. I would do gowns great for the first few months getting up to change and feed at night no zipping and undressing or snaps. I loved the gowns. Also maybe find a cute blanky will need for winter. I hope it helps any at all but if your just shopping for fun i would pick up things you like and just make sure you make a list of needs for baby and have at least one pack of everything you will need before baby gets here. Go out and shop around and see like at a target or walmart run up and down baby isle and see all the things they havve and say im gonna need that or not on ur list like bottles onsies socks hats pacifyers just what you plan to use and dont use oh and fyi so much easier and cheaper to buy cloth diapers and use them as burp cloths i dyed mine pink and purple
