I am hosting a baby shower (women only) and I am having a raffle contest. What is a great gift to give away?

You can’t go wrong with a jewelry box because almost all women love and own jewelry. Check out MarqArt jewelry boxes, these guys sell nice handcrafted wooden jewelry boxes. They have creative artwork designs! Prices vary according to size. I own one!

Hey maybe buy her some nice brand name outfit. It may cost just a bit more, but it’s definitely different and most importantly, I think the mom will surely appreciate it. I remember when I had my second daughter, a good friend bought me some real nice designers baby clothing. I was so thrilled because I couldn’t really afford it, and it was so nice to dress my baby in something in style, and with good quality. It was also nice that it lasted a pretty long time! Just thought I should share with you what a mom would really want…hope I helped! (this is the place she got it from, she said she shops there all the time and loves it)

…Something so unique that it will WOW everyone! This is my first Grand Baby!
My son is having my first Grand Baby, and I would love to come up with an idea for an awesome gift that I know no one will have there. I am not looking to wow everyone with the amount I spent (which is no limit), I just want to give them something so unique that everyone will be talking. She (daughter-in-law) has already bought all the big stuff or someone in HER family is getting it. I don’t need any idea’s that we all normally do for baby showers, I am looking for something everyone is going to think ~ "WOW ~ What an AWESOME gift!"
P. S. ~ it’s a girl!
Thank you:)

I think that a nice memorable gift would be something made from you that she can keep forever. there are many things that can be made for the baby, even besides outfits or blankets. Also another nice thing would be to get something to start a collection for her as a baby. I was given a spun glass binky with gold edges and I still have it for my girl, it was a nice gift. You can even design a cute basket with these type of items that are made or keepers for the baby. good luck

About 2 months from now my sister will be having a baby shower. My sister and I are best friends but I truly suck at giving gifts. A good friend of hers asked me advice on what to get her/the baby that she’ll love. I told her anything with his name on it. It didn’t matter what because my sister loves personalized stuff.

So heres my situation, I was going to make a basket of stuff she’ll need. Everyone I’ve told said it’s a great idea. The other day i bumped into my grandmother who keeps buying my sister little hangers, books, clothes, bottles etc. Basically any and everything I would have put in the basket, so when I told her my gift idea she didn’t sound too impressed. So I thought i’d make it a little more personal and design a picture that I’d put in a frame of the baby’s name. But would that be taking away from my sister’s friend? Kinda of like copying her or taking her shine? Should I scrap my idea all together or just continue with it?

this gift idea i got my best frind and she love it and use it every day. it a bit expensive from the $30 you ask for but this is a good idea.

I have a friend who has had her 4th baby. She had a girl and already has a girl so she does NOT need clothes. She has been given lots of diapers already as gifts so that’s out. She has lots of wipes too. I need some suggestions on what would be useful for her as a gift. She is a very practical person so she wouldn’t probably appreciate something like a keepsake vs something that she can really use.

Can anyone suggest something that she may need besides clothes, diapers and wipes that I can give as a gift?

Thanks for your suggestions!!

Since she is very practical, how about getting her a gift basket with all her laundry needs like baby detergent and fabric softner. I have a 6 month old and I am constantly washing clothes.

My sister is having a baby. Her husband is overseas in teh army right now. What are good baby gifts to get her?
thank you for your help all of that is great. It’s tough because, all of her friends are across the counr\try, so the baby shower is going to be jksut immidiate family. Any thh\ings that are very useful that you wouldn’t think of?

Everybody always gets baby clothes but they forget about the things that people need like baby gas relief, and first aid kits. Also a couple of different size diapers and wipes are great too. Think of practical things like an ear thermometer and such. You can get some fun stuff too but people always over look the needed stuff. Also like wash clothes and a rubber faucet cover for the bathtub!

A couple of weeks ago, the marketing coordinator sent everyone in the office an e-mail to collect a donation towards a baby shower gift for one of our co-workers. I completely forgot about it and I felt bad that I didn’t contribute to what they bought her.

I would like to buy her something separately. Any suggestions on what will be appropriate? Most of the items on their registry were already purchased. I’m assuming that she had a baby shower recently.

Gender-appropriately-colored onesies.
Or socks.
Onesies and socks are work their weight in gold with a newborn.
Those tiny socks get eaten by driers, and a baby can spit-up, urinate, and poop through their clothes seven times a day.

They may seem boring, but so many people often concentrate on cute clothes, that they ignore the basics.
Ditto for diapers; boring, but always useful.

If you want something a little more personal, you can always get something for Mommy. They tend to get strangely neglected in the light of a new baby. Just make it something simple, that will make her feel pampered.

I got invited to a baby shower, I’d love to go but I don’t have any money and I don’t want to be the idiot who came and didn’t bring a gift.

No need to buy clothes or toys. Just buy diapers, Parent’s Choice newborn & size 1…get it @ Wal-Mart they’re only $6 for each pack. If not, get the $22 baby bouncer @ Wal-Mart in store.

My older sister is going to have a baby in March. She went to the doctor today and they said it was going to be a girl, but I just KNOW that its going to sprout a penis at the last minute! She’s registered at Babies R Us, but all the stuff that she has listed are either pink (I’m trying to avoid pink and blue) or something majorly expensive. I kinda want to get her something very personal, like a scrapbook of some sort or a pregnancy diary. Would this be appropriate even though she hasn’t mentioned it? Any other ideas would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

I dont think its going to grow a body part at the last min..lol But I good idea would be get a baby bath tub and put inside a set of baby towels and wash cloths a bottle of baby bath and shampoo and a rubber duck. Then to make it special get a gift card to the spa to go get her feet and nails done right before the baby comes to make her relax…

Hey!
My cousin is pregnant and is having her baby shower next month. She isn’t telling anyone the sex of the baby, so i need some help with gift ideas. So…

What were your favorite or most useful gifts?

My most useful gifts were:

Swaddle blankets - not receiving blankets but actual large swaddle blankets. My favorite brand was swaddle designs which are made of flannel. I also got some that were lighter weight by Aden and Anais which were great. I used them for swaddling which babies LOVE and I used them as stroller blankets and even covers for breastfeeding.

If she is planning on breastfeeding then I a hooter hider for breastfeeding. Covers you up if you are shy.

Moby carrier. I used mine around the house.
