I live in a very rural area and the nearest retailers (that I have to basically drive an hour to get to) are Walmart, Kmart, Target, JC Penney, and Sears…(Yeah, I know. Where I live sucks. Would love for my husband to get transferred, but ah, well..)
Anyway, I have 3 boys and they are so totally not into cartoon character clothes or preppy little khaki and polo shirt ensembles. I am looking for some retailers that carry nice worn jeans, preferably with a few rips and T shirts advertising bands or at least guitars. I have a 6 year old, a 4 year old, and a 2 year old. I am mostly looking for things for the 6 year old, so size 6. Every time I try to google "cool boy clothes" or anything like that, it basically brings up baby clothes.
So, if anyone can suggest some stores that I can check out some trendy clothes online, I would be very thankful.
hottopic.com (band tee and skinny jean heaven ![]()
ipso-facto.com (maybe too big for your kids but … ![]()
sears.com (really good for classic album shirts like metallica’s Master Of Puppets and many guitar shirts)
target.com
Amazon.com
Spencers.com ( I am suggesting for the band tees NOT for the bad stuff! )
thats mostly where I shop
Try Goodwill and Value Village too ![]()
Majic Mart is also pretty decent i think
I’m looking for shopping websites that sells unique cool baby stuff, like " pacifiers, clothes, gifts, swaddles..etc"
Do you know any??

A co-worker of mine is having a baby, and her husband is a huge Metallica fan. Does anyone know where I might be able to find something really cool for the baby- preferably in black?

My girlfriend falls asleep with our 25 day old baby on her all the time. GF will fall asleep during breastfeeding and her body heat will heat the baby up to the point the baby’s clothes are wet from sweat. This is a DAILY thing, it happens every day. I was there when the nurse and doctors told us that she should not fall asleep with the baby on her because the baby could suffocate. Plus the constant baby getting hot and sweaty and then getting cooled down when GF wakes up.
I am very upset by this. I feel that my GF is being irresponsible and I am afraid that by doing this getting the baby hot and sweaty and then GF waking up for any reason, then the baby cooling off fast while wet from sweat that she is going to get sick.
My girlfriend is not even trying it seems. She tends to just be lazy about the whole thing. She tries to make herself comfortable and not the baby and that to me is bulls**t. Even when breastfeeding. Instead of doing what works for our baby and getting her to eat, gf does what makes HER comfortable.
I need advice about this. I have tried to talk to GF about this many times, she just does what she wants and does not take my feelings in to consideration. I do everything that I can. I mean everything. Please help.
If your baby is 25 days old and your gf is nursing she is beyond tired I promise. By the way nursing is the best thing she could possibly be doing encourage her every chance you get!!!!! Having a baby takes SO much out of you, she will probably not get her energy back until she is about three months pp and on top of that she has all the new responsibilities of caring for a newborn. She is also very emotional, so when you are expressing your concerns be nice! That said you do have a right to express your concerns for your child. When you talk to her make sure she know how much you apritiate that she is taking the time and energy to breastfeed your baby giving them the best possible head start that you will see the benifits of for years to come. It is frustrating because I’m sure you want to help her but you can not breast feed your child. What you can do is offer to take the baby when she is finished nursing so she can nap. Also you could do some research on how to co-sleep or share the familly bed safely. This involves removing exess soft bedding and pushing your bed completely against the wall, making sure there is no gap. I sleep with my four month old. I started co-sleeping when a lactation consultant told me that it was great for nursing at night, because you could do exactly what your girlfriend is doing: go back to sleep! Try dressing your baby in lighter clothing than if they were sleeping alone, even just a diaper. Breastfeeding puts off hormones in your body that actually make you sleep lighter, look up any of this if you dont believe me. Voive your concerns, do some research but above all please be super nice and sensitive to your gf as she is going through more than you can imagine right now. Lots of moms sleep with thier babies- it is common all over the world and a growing trend in the US. Being a new dad is scary, hang in there- it will be okay. By the way major Congrats on your little one!!!!!!!
i hate seeing guys wearing skinny jeans with baby shirts, when i used to see those same guys wearing baggy clothes. i hate seeing people wearing skinny jeans and they sag them lower than their asses..i wear baggy clothes and im always going to wear baggy clothes..if you’ve always worn skinny jeans, then thats cool i dont care, but people where i live are only wearing skinny jeans cause of this new style thats popped up..i hate this sh*t..im not gay, ive never seen this question answered so i wanna to ask it

This is not a baby website in itself, but it does offer name brand baby clothing, such as The Children’s Place, at a lot less than retail price. Here is the link.

I hope that you find something that you like.
Good luck.
My little baby is just 5 months old and needs to wear clothes for babies 12-24 months!!!!!!! Since he have a bunch of clothes for 6 months babies I don’t feel able to spend a lot of money in new clothes. I don’t understand how a simple outfit for him can be $10-15… I will need at least 5 of that because she is drooling a lot and I need to change his clothes several times during the day. Do you know some place that I can find cool, cheap and good quality clothes for babies?
Thanks!
I agree with the person about the bibs. You’ll save enough from not doing 5 loads of laundry a day to buy an outfit! Get a bunch of bibs….the terry cloth kind absorb more than the stretchy cotton ones!
My 8 month old daughter is in 18-24 month clothes so I know how you feel about her growing so fast but it should start to slow down. Try consignment stores….I have gotten outfits with tags still on them for $3 that were cute. Also look out for sales or specials at stores. Gymboree has "Gymbucks"….spend a certain amount during the promotion and (if you spend $50+ you get $25 in gymbucks) a few weeks later you can use them towards a purchase! Old Navy and Target both have cute clothes. I like Gymboree, The Childrens Place, and Target the best because they have onesies up to size 5T in the store. (Old Navy doesnt really have too many onesies.) Both Gymboree and Childrens Place usually have lines that you can mix and match pieces to really maximize a wardrobe.
My sister bought my daughter a REALLY cute black bubble skirt and matching leggings at WALMART of all places!
Right now the early spring lines should be going on sale and its stuff they can wear all summer so buy it while its on sale!
To make some money for your clothes budget maybe you can sell some stuff on Ebay or put it in a consignment shop.
I know in my area we have a "Kindermarket" where parents get a booth and it is basically a huge baby/kid sale of clothes, strollers, furniture, etc. See if theres something like that in your area.
Remember…keep your eyes open! If you see something cute on another baby ask where they got it!
Good Luck!
