My husband and I are Jamaican…and while I respect the common trend of names, I want unique names. I find names in Jamaica…as a majority…tend to either be biblical like Teresa or a little more edgy like Shanique or Keisha. I want beautiful funky names for my kids….with some originality. I’ve been having the hardest time ever trying to come up with a name! I’ve got about 3 months left but i feel like im running out of time! So far I’ve liked the names: Kane, Blaze and Ben. My boyfriend doesn’t like any for various reasons (like popularity on TV or something). So I was hoping for some suggestions. Just some sort, simple but unique names. NOT LIAM!

I’m pregnant and due in August. I’m not sure of the sex yet, but I want to know some of your ideas for unique baby names! I don’t like common names, but I don’t like TOO extreme names either [the kid has to grow up with that name of course].

http://www.babynamewizard is a great website because you can search for names and it has like 6 different levels of popularity to choose from. It also has a bunch of other neat stuff.

http://www.nymbler.com is a great because you can put in names you like, and it will give you other suggestions based on those names.

& I strongly recommend getting the book ‘A is for Atticus". It has gorgeous names in it. I bought it used from http://www.gohastings.com for like $4.00. Well worth it!
