Im 13. I go to school in brooklyn and here in middle schools, 6th graders take photos in their training bras, 7th graders think its so cool to smoke colored weed cause EVERYBODY is doing it (colored weed? I know ridiculous) and yeah they make out in hallways and top of that they would date boys thinking they "found the one" and I’ll be sitting on facebook reading their stupid relationship statuses talking about how they "love their baby" and how "he’s the one" but a week later they breakup, 8th graders think its sooooo cool to put up videos of themselves barely in clothes and wining, grindind, twerking, and krumping. THEN they post up videos on youtube and facebook. And EVERYBODY just loves to shake their buttock on everybody they meet. And what gets me angry the most is that once something goes in style EVERYBODY does it, I ask why and get the response "Cause its cool". In the society I live in:
1. If your not pretty, you dont matter
2. Picking on someone is cool and they do it cause its "funny"
3. If a girl wants to fight you and you back down your a "pussy"
4. If you dont copy whatevers in style you have no "swagg" ( I put quotation marks because they spell it with two g’s)
5. If you dont like rap, pop, or hip-pop, you have no taste
6. If you have a big butt you have to wear tights and post pictures of it on facebook and write "I gots the cakey ;)"
7. If your no crip your not cool
8. If your not blood your not cool
9. Boys will randomly walk up to you and call you ugly :C
10. Girls will point out your flaws
11.Nobody has the courage to be original
—At school I only have 5 close friends in my CIG progran ( children intellectually gifted ) everybody else i just wave at.
-But lately ive been wondering if im just a bitter person who needs to let go because according to Wiz Khaliffaa, Its not bad to smoke weed because i need to be young, wild , and free. Am I bitter? Am I being too harsh? Or it the world just that stupid?

Baby shower ideas!?- games and gift ?

Sooo my best friend.. child hood friend:) is having a baby boy! I am planning her baby shower.. well the games and stuff. I’m going to get her a cute baby blue waste basket and fill it with stuff… but what about for games?? We r going to do the toilet paper game. I’m not sure what else… fill the bottle w candy and who ever guesses the right amount.. so I need more ideas! And what r good gift ideas… for the winners. Candles.. what else ha. Thanks so much! Xxx

Melt different candy bars in diapers and have the guests smell them and try to guess the candy bar.

Put a bunch (like 15-30) of different baby items (booger sucker, comb, themomater, etc.) on a tray, let the guests look at the tray for a minute, then take it away, and the guests have to write down as many items as they can remember.

Have everyone bring a baby pic of themselves, or email them to you ahead of time, and put them together and make the guests try to guess who is who.

Make everyone taste baby food and guess the flavors.

If it’s a ladies only shower, give everyone a clothes pin when they arrive, they must wear it on their clothes. If a guest catches another guest with their legs crossed, they can take that person’s clothes pin. Whoever has the most clothes pins at the end of the shower wins.

Have a bottle-drinking race.

Oh and the gift ideas for winners: candles, photo albums, photo boxes, look around at the dollar store and you can probably put together cute grab bags.

my mom is pregnant and i want to get her something good for her baby shower. i need something that i could get personalized with the babies name on it.

Everyone will bring diapers and baby clothes, that’s for sure. You can get her a Memory Book of Baby’s First 5 Years. Those books usually have lots of pages with questions and space for pictures, little stories and memories, etc. So she can keep record of all important things during baby’s first years.

Is it tacky for someone to have a 3rd baby shower and they are having twins this time?

I was outraged when someone suggested this chick have yet a 3rd baby shower just because shes having twins…whoop de doo!! Im all baby showered out with this chick…. Let me tell….she has a 4 yr old girl and 2 yr old boy and now she is pregnant with twins….. Hell no friend or not…. I think a meet and greet would be more appropriate at least…. Why do people get knocked up every damn year and expect baby showers ??? If u cannot afford the necessities for a baby on your own or with family support than go on birth control plain and simple …married or not… This woman just so happen to be married . Her and her husband dont make much money…but im suposed to throw another shower after I did her first two… hell no way and not to mention I have my own wedding to pay for this year… Dont they understand…..WEDDING!!!!! . And they are so caught up in having their 3rd and fourth babies they dont even seem all that excited for the fact im getting married…. Everytime I talk a little about wedding stuff they arent interested…and I dont go bridezilla mode trust me… Im very humble person…… the nerve of people

I am totally for having as many kids as u please but just dont expect people to throw big baby showers for you every time. Besides if people love you they will give gifts whether you have a shower or not…am I wrong about this?? I dont mean to offend anyone I just think after 2 baby showers with your kids being so close in age, u should have the basic necessities and not expect much.

I tend to agree. . . however, the purpose of a baby shower is *supposed* to be twofold: as you stated, to provide gifts that will help ease the purse strings of the expectant mother, but also to celebrate the impending birth, the joy of adding another little person to the fold.

So I, like you, think that the only appropriate way to do this would be to have a party, a get-together - something informal, something which is meant *solely* to celebrate, not to outfit or bestow gifts.

I think your feelings are hurt that your friend is seemingly disinterested in your upcoming wedding. While I can’t blame you, I guess I’d try to keep it in perspective - if this friend had no children, you know perfectly well she would be excited, and able to talk about it with you. I doubt it’s so much a lack on interest as a lack of time and energy. Shrug. I could be wrong, people are self-absorbed, but again - this is a pregnant lady with two kids under the age of 5. She really *is* busy. I would try not to let that bother me so much.

Has she actually *asked* you to set up a shower for her? Or have other people mentioned it to you, assuming you would once again be hosting and planning? If she hasn’t asked you, I see no problem. You just don’t bring it up and don’t do it. If she *has* asked you and you said yes, or if others have asked and you went ahead and said "yes I intend to do this", you’re stuck.

I am a mother of twins (and an older son). . . I was asked by my Mother-in-Law if I wanted a shower, and I said absolutely not. Mainly from a manners standpoint, but also because I just didn’t *need* that much - and I would have felt uncomfortable placing people in that position, of having to buy yet another gift. Shrug. Different strokes.

Bottom line - if you think it’s inappropriate, just don’t do it. If your friend requires an explanation, she’s an idiot or intentionally obtuse.

They are small round fat lards that make a loud whiney annoying sound while all the other baby animals are cute and make cute sounds. Like kittens, I mean, is there anything on earth cuter than a kitten? Why do people think they’re cute?

I helping plan my own baby shower and I wanted to make baskets as some of the presents you could win for the games. Im having a baby boy. So far I’ll make a ‘about to pop’ basket filled with pop, popcorn, pop rocks,ect and another basket ‘bun in the oven’ and I’ll try to find cute cinnamon bun things or and what not. Does anybody have any other good ideas?

What do you get women for baby showers?

I was invited to attend a baby shower for sometime in February. I’ve known the girl for a while when we were children but haven’t talked to her in a while. So I am unsure of what to get her or really anyone when this happens again. I have never been to a baby shower and this my first friend to get pregnant and have one so please help me.

I have two and these are the items that I found most helpful.

DIAPERS- size 2 or 3. They might not be able to wear them for awhile but I didn’t have to buy any diapers until my first was around 1 year. With my second I didn’t have to buy them until he was 6 months old. It was the best gift because they are expensive. Most new moms want cute diapers like Pampers or Huggies. Go for the Target or Wal-Mart brand. Target worked better on both of my kids and I’m so glad that someone bought me the Target brand because I would have never tried them otherwise. I have saved hundreds of dollars with these diapers.

WIPES. Wal-Mart brand wipes are GREAT and that is all we buy. If they like cloth wipes than Target has those.

Blankets, Burp Cloths, GIFT CARDS and Baby Bath sets.
