Are there traditional gifts for a new baby and/or new house for a Jain family?

Jain is an Indian religion.

for the baby - a silver spoon and cup, if its a girl then silver anklets would do . the safest gifts are toys for the baby. or gift certificates for restaraunts since with a new baby the parents might just want a break with the cooking and cleaning for a change
