Two of my husbands friends have just had new babies one yesterday and one today. One is a little girl and one a boy. He is good friends with them and just wondered if anyone had a cool idea for gifts. Thanks x
Hey!
I have to say the best gift I ever received was money & gift cards so I could buy what I needed & WANTED! I got a lot of rubbish that I never wanted and had the job of taking back. It may not be very exciting, but its just want you NEED when you have a newborn!

if you want something a bit different i would gift the mommy’s a memory book or scrapbook..
k-mart has the memory books so does baby r us..
they are great for the mommy’s to keep track of the accomplishments of their little ones..
i have one & i love it so i can look back & be like aww with my son when he’s old enough to look through it
& a scrapbook album is lovely too
im into the scrapbooking & my husband bought me one from baby r us
its a big 12 by 12 album already with the decorations & extra stickers & the mommy gets to put pictures of her little one
I only seen the pre-made scrapbook at baby r us..
those are wonderful gifts
its something the mommys will always have..
with the memory book you could stop by at walmart or target or at michaels arts & crafts store & pick up baby theme stickers to go with the memory book so the mommy can get to decorate it..

Well I don’t know about cool but the best thing me and my husband got were diapers, wipes and food (for us!!) The best idea was food already made for us! Since I was recovering its pretty crazy around here, no time for anything.
Those were by far the best gifts we got!!!

I always think you can never have too many burp rags, bibs, diapers. But for something new there is this cute bear that has the sound of your heart beating when you turn it on. It seems to me that a child would love this cause that’s the only sound they are used to. I have found it at Wal-Mart Another good item is one of those really expensive ear thermometers. Its a small gift with a big price but they will need it more than you know the baby’s whole home life. Ummm.. A video camera. Good luck!!

well i always suggeest u give the little things people foreget about like baby nail clippers, thermometer, burping cloths or those containers that hold milk formula also lotions for diaper rash. i keep hearing how the baby kit from burts bees is great..it has shampoo, lotions and all other goodies. i remember getting lots of clothes but i loved the one where i got all these little goodies cuz they were real helpful and some i even forgot to purchase myself nd extra baby wipes wont hurt at all to add to ur gift.

Bring over a home cooked meal, offer to babysit if the parents need a break, or ask if they need any small chores done while your there. Help is ALWAYS appreciated after you have a baby, especially if they are new parents. I wish someone would have done this for me!
If you prefer to stick to a gift, Id say gift cards are always nice. Theres always something you never know you needed to have after having a baby and beginning parenting first hand.

Im not filipino, but I worked with alot of them while I was pregnant. When they came to visit the baby in the hospital, they put money in the babys hand. They say it was for good luck. It was funny because my son held onto the money and wouldn’t let it go. My husband got some cool and funny onsies. Also alot of sports team onsies. But if all else fails, cigars work nicely!
