I am going to visit my friend in the hospital today, to see her and her new baby. I am planning to bring a bouquet of flowers and a card…but is there anything else that might be nice to bring? Trying to think of something different!
To be honest, the best present I received was money and gift vouchers. May not be so Original however extremely useful and a LOT better then any tacky teddy or clothes i hated (and had the job of returning!)
I would go with gift cards, that way the recipient can spend it any way they wish :]

A box of chocolate, a nice soft smelling lotion, a fingernail file and/or manicure set. Flowers are nice, but they are hard to take home. It won’t be a surprise, but call her and ask if she might love getting her favorite hamburger and fries or something like that too. The hospital I was at had pretty decent food but it’s fun getting something special.

Buy her a new shirt, like something you know she’ll feel pretty in after having a baby. Or you can get her a Starbucks gift card, if she’s breastfeeding, she doesn’t have to order coffee, it could be tea

The best gift I got was my favorite cake just for me! Something just for the mom makes a huge difference and makes the mom feel great. She just had a baby and typically everyone gushes over the baby and not the mom that went through the whole ordeal too.
Flowers, cards are so sweet too! Sneak in their favorite food, snack, magazine.
You are a great pal to have!

I would bring something yummy. I know when I was in the hospital I just craved something chocolatey. Maybe something small from godiva? or Something not too big as it can be hard to take home…
