I know it sounds corny, but I want to get something special for the one month birthday of my nephew. He was born Jan. 26th 2010. I was thinking of making him a CD of songs that would be special to him and I….songs with meaning. What songs should I put on it? Any other ideas of what I could do?
I would do something that he can apperciate when he gets older. A cd would not be something that would be apericiated. If you really want to get him something, how about opening up a savings account for him and for every special occasion put a little money it in. That way when he gets older he will have a little money put away for a car, college, or whatever.
What to do for the one month "birthday" of a newborn baby as a gift?

Maybe a Build-a-bear with a special message from you. Or just a bear.

The CD IS a good idea. one song that comes tomind is Lulliby by the dixi chicks. sound corny but if you listen to it its a beautiful song appropriate for any age.
Another thing is a baby bracelette or necklace. it’s impractical but i still have mine from when i was born and when my daughter was born i gave it to her. i hope that when she makes me a grandmother she’ll pass it down.
good luck!

I, personally, wouldn’t do a CD. A savings account is a good idea, or maybe a baby book or scrap book. You could document his growth every month and give him the whole finished gift after he turns one. I’m doing that for my son so he can look back and see his journey and growth. I also record vlog entries about our day, his milestones, etc that I’ve been combining with video I take of him to make into a DVD chronicling his first year of life.
