Hi! I’m going to my hubby’s cousin’s baby shower next week and I am looking for gift ideas. The couple isn’t registered anywhere, and they also don’t know if they are having a girl or a boy. I do know they’ve already bought the stroller/carseat combo, and I think they’ve already got the furniture too. I assume the bigger items like a playpen and high chair are not the best things to go out and pick on your own, and they might already be taken care of anyway. So I’m looking for unique ideas that are good for a boy or a girl, and that they won’t end up getting a dozen of and only needing one. I looked around today and saw things like onesies, bottles and baby dishes and stuff, but that seems so ordinary. Do you have any good ideas? Thanks!
Yes, of course I want to get them something useful that they will need, not some silly keepsake. But since I don’t have kids myself, I’m wondering what are some useful items that maybe you never have too many of, or useful things that people might not think of.
Get essential items, but have them personalized. Since you don’t know gender buy yellow blankets/sippy cups/burp cloths/bibs etc and have them say the last name: "Smith Baby" or "Newest Stevenson" or something to that effect.

One of my favorite gifts I got from my baby shower was a gift card to a portrait studio. Just give them a $50 gift card to get their baby’s pictures taken.

people don’t need "Unique" for their babies, they need necessities…
here’s what they’ll say "oh what a unique little keepsake"
here’s what they’re thinking "where the hell are we going to put this ugly baby bottle shaped piece of embroidery, I sure wish my baby had a clean onesie that hasn’t been spit up on yet, without me having to do laundry"

A unisex diaper bag filled with smaller items that people often forget to get for parents to be.
Such as
socks
bibs
pacifiers
bottles
bottle cleaners
Changing pad
etc

They sell baby hand print keepsake kits that consists of plaster of paris and a frame or tin or something to put it in. I always thought those were cute and you can always look back and see how tiny your child’s hands and feet were. And throw in an extra packet of onesies, too
