I am going to put together my 19 month old daughter’s Easter basket instead of buying one. I am going to put in lots of chocolate eggs and more kids of chocolate with The White rabbit stuffed animal from Alice in Wonderland. I was thinking of also including a book of something to do with bunnies. What else should I put in it? I want it to be unique.
Oh, and should I also include the fake grass? Do you think it’s necessary for that easter feel? I really don’t like when it gets everywhere and it doesn’t really serve a purpose. Should I line the basket with something else?
What about some new pairs of undies? She sounds like she is around potty training time. Bubbles, crayons or playdoh. I would do without the fake grass, she wouldn’t notice the difference at this age anyway. I don’t think you really have to line the basket but maybe you could find a little blanket would do the trick. Just some ideas, have fun easter shopping!

Easter is my favourite holiday. I love going crazy with my daughters easter baskets too. =)
We have a book about Albert the Easter bunny, which is about how all bunnies go to school to learn how to make up easter baskets and I basically try to match what they make in the book so it feels more real for her, so maybe you could try to find a book like that and read it to her a few times before Easter?
You could get her a bunny ears headband, and the toy shops at the moment have lots of easter themed toys. If she’s old enough for My Little Ponies they often have great easter stuff.

I have a 17 month old daughter and this year for Easter I decided to make her a "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and My Friends Tiger and Pooh" themed Easter Basket, those are her favorite characters. I filled her basket with:
Tadoodle bathtub crayons (crayons designed for 18+ months)
Tadoodle Crayons
Some Mickey Mouse and Tiger and Pooh coloring books
A Mickey Mouse Easter Egg hunt book
Bubbles
Sidewalk Chalk
A Mickey Mouse Kite (we can fly it together)
Play dough
Some Candy
A toothbrush
Bubble bath
Minnie Mouse Panties (she is starting to get interested in potty training)
Hair Accessories
A Mickey Mouse Dvd
A Mickey Mouse Frisbee
Some Tiger and Pooh Books
Water and Sand toys
An Easter themed ball
Some Mickey Mouse activity coloring sets
I love Easter and I love building my daughters own personal Easter basket as you can tell..lol. You can also buy the edible grass to line the basket with, that way it will serve more of a purpose and it won’t be thrown a way, it comes in different flavors. If you bought her an Easter outfit, you could also line the basket with that if you really don’t want to use the grass, just a suggestion.

I am so excited that I came across your question. For starters, my mom would always put those simple little chocolate eggs covered in various colors of foil in a trail out the front door to show that the Easter Bunny had been there. One year she bought me the most wonderful Easter book that I have ever read. It is called The Country Bunny and the Little Gold Shoes. However, I would wait until she is older to get her a book like that. I recommend going to a book store and finding a book that your daughter will really enjoy. I would not put the fake grass in the basket, it has always seemed a bit rediculous to me. Line the basket with a soft colored silk or cloth instead. As for unique gifts, when I was around 10 my mom found this amazing hollow sugar egg that looked almost like the egg in the link below. I think your daughter is a bit young to really appreciate such a thing, but I am sure that there is something more age appropriate for her. Good luck!
